Will my Stanzazoo account automatically appear on HousingAnywhere?

Stanzazoo is moving offline as of February 8, 2021. Your account on the platform will be deleted on the 7th of February 2021. Learn how you can easily create an account on HousingAnywhere.

What are the main differences between the platforms?

HousingAnywhere is an online booking platform for accommodation with a mission of making moving abroad more simple. HousingAnywhere can fulfil your housing needs because

  • it’s reliable — bring you verified tenants thanks to our collaboration with more than 160 universities.

Since it works in a different way than Stanzazoo, we have prepared some key points that will help you navigate our user-friendly platform.

How can I create a listing?

When you have created your account, you can click on “Add listing” in the top right corner of the page. Listing only takes a few minutes and is completely free! If you want to list multiple rooms, you can create a separate listing for each one.

It only takes a few minutes to fill out this form, and then it will be visible to tenants searching for accommodation on our platform. Make sure you add photos, a detailed description, and verify your account when you have submitted your listing. Here are some tips on how to sign-up and list your rooms.

Is it free to use HousingAnywhere?

Pricing at HousingAnywhere is also one of the differences; A commission is only charged if a booking is successfully completed. We charge a small, one-time commission fee equal to approximately 25% of one month’s rent per booking. This commission is removed from the payout that you receive from us, so you do not need to pay anything to us directly.

Can I directly contact potential tenants?

For the safety of our users, HousingAnywhere will only release contact information for both parties after a booking has been completed. If a prospective tenant requests a viewing of the accommodation, please encourage them to review the listing descriptions, images and answer any questions they have. This is to ensure the privacy and safety of all users involved. Users who make a booking outside of HousingAnywhere will not be covered by our Secure Booking System.

Once you have found a potential tenant, you can invite the tenant to book. The tenant will have 48 hours to complete the payment. The payment will be made through HousingAnywhere and will be paid out to you 48 hours after the tenant's move-in date. Please note that only tenants can start a conversation. Can I organize a viewing before finalizing the booking?

HousingAnywhere is a 100% online platform! This means that you don't have to put extra time organizing viewings that might not convert into bookings! If a prospective tenant requests a viewing of the accommodation, please encourage them to review the listing description, images, videos, and answer any questions they have.

We encourage advertisers and tenants to complete the booking on our platform before viewing the accommodation. This is to ensure the privacy and safety of all users involved. Users who make a booking outside of HousingAnywhere will not be covered by our Secure Booking System and we will not be able to provide refunds or support if something goes wrong.

Is HousingAnywhere only handling the first month’s rent?

HousingAnywhere handles the first month’s rent to confirm the booking. However, you can also use our HousingAnywhere Payments feature to create payment plans for your tenants. In this way, we collect the monthly rent for you and send it to the payout method you have set in your account. For more information, click here.
