You've sent a message but the advertiser hasn't responded yet? Here are some tips

Sometimes when you are looking for accommodation abroad, receiving a reply from the advertiser might seem like an eternity. Usually, most advertisers reply within 3 days. Unfortunately, some people forget to reply at all.

We encourage the advertiser to write a reply always, but it is their responsibility to get back to you.

Three general tips:

  • Send a gentle reminder to the advertiser that you are still interested. It will be delivered to them by email.

  • When you contact advertisers, tell them more about yourself. Don't only inform them about your name and your study or occupation but also tell them about your hobbies, your interests, what you like about the city, what kind of person you are if you have experience living with other people, etc.

  • Send out responses to 5+ listings. This will increase your chances of booking a place.

Please don't send any contact information, such as email address or phone number. For more information on why and how this protects you, click here.

Good luck with your search!
