If something has come up and you need to change your booking dates, you can easily do so. In this article, you'll learn how to do so and what to think of before changing your booking dates.

When can I change my booking?

Your booking can be changed in the following situations.

  • You can change your booking no later than 3 days before the move-in date. E.g., if your booking starts on 1 April, then you can change your booking until 29 March. Check the cancellation policy of the booking.

  • If your move-in date is more than 105 days from your booking confirmation date, you can only change the booking within those 105 days. After that, your booking can't be changed. Due to legal restrictions, we must pay the advertiser their rent within 105 days. E.g., if you book a place on 11 April for a move-in date in September, you can change your booking until 25 July.

What happens after I send a request to change the booking dates?

After you've submitted your request, the advertiser is immediately notified. They then must decline or accept your request to change the booking dates.

If the advertiser accepts your request, it will take up to 5 days to see the date change on the Conversation page.

If the advertiser declines your request, your booking remains the same.

How to change your booking

Go to the Conversations page and scroll down until you see the summary of the property on the right side. At the bottom of this, you will find a link that says Change booking.

We advise you always to discuss any change in your booking dates with the advertiser first.

Clicking on the link opens up the popup from which you can change your booking dates. When you click on any date, a calendar will appear, and you can select your preferred new dates.

Once you've completed all the steps, you will see a success message and a new system message. This means that your modification was successful, and the advertiser has been told.

The advertiser now needs to accept or decline your request. If the advertiser accepts, it takes up to 5 working days for the booking and rent to be updated.
