What to look for in the payment descriptors

To make it easier for you to recognize a payout from HousingAnywhere, we use a descriptor in the payment reference.


The 3 components of a payment descriptor

  1. Type of transaction — B for a booking payout, P for a payment request payout.

  2. Settlement Reference — Related to a specific transaction and can be found in the invoice or the Transactions page.

  3. Name of the tenant — The initial of the tenant's first name and the full last name.

The descriptor currently has a limit of 21 characters.



Examples of descriptors:

For booking payouts: HA.B2100000000.JDoe
For payment request payouts: HA.P2100000001.JDoe
