Can I view the accommodation in person before booking?

At HousingAnywhere, in-person viewings are not supported. This ensures that students and tenants from all over the world have an equal opportunity to rent housing, regardless of location.

To help you make an informed decision, we recommend:

  • Messaging the landlord directly through HousingAnywhere with any questions, before sending a booking request (applying to rent).

  • Requesting additional photos, video tours, floor plans, and drafts of a rental contract when needed.

How can I stay safe while searching for a new home?

To protect yourself and ensure a secure booking process, always communicate and make payments exclusively through HousingAnywhere. This allows us to verify user identities, monitor transactions, and reduce the risk of unsafe off-platform agreements.

Your rental is covered by Tenant Protection

We understand that booking a home without an in-person visit is a significant step. That’s why every booking on HousingAnywhere is protected by our Tenant Protection policy.

  • If the accommodation is not as described at the time of move-in, you may cancel your booking within 48 hours move-in window.

  • If your cancellation falls under a valid reason for a refund according to our policy, we will proceed accordingly.

  • If your booking is officially cancelled on our platform, we’ll show alternative accommodations directly in your conversation with the landlord. This way, you can easily restart your search and explore new listings using filters that match your preferences, helping you find a suitable option as smoothly as possible.
