About HousingAnywhere's Digital contracts

A digital contract is a rental agreement you and your landlord sign electronically.

Our Digital contracts are digital, legally binding rental agreements designed for compliance.

If a landlord uses them, you can review contract details directly on the listing page — even before contacting the landlord. Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive an email with a link to sign the contract online and download it immediately.

We use DocuSign, a trusted e-signing tool, to keep your contract secure and legally valid.

How it works

1. Preview the contract

Before booking, you can view the draft contract in the landlord’s language (German or French) on the Listing Details and Conversation pages.

If you’re an international tenant, an English translation is available.

2. Confirm your booking

After you book, we’ll prepare your contract within three days.

3. Review and complete your contract

We’ll email you when your contract is ready. Click the link to review and sign with DocuSign.

4. Download your signed contract

Once signed, we’ll email you the contract. You can also download it again anytime from the Booking Confirmation page.

The Digital contract will be in the landlord’s language (German or French), followed by an English translation.

Security and legal compliance

Our Digital contracts meet EU e-signature laws, ensuring they are legally binding and protected. We use DocuSign, a trusted e-signing tool, to keep contracts secure and enforceable.

Here’s how they’re legally valid:

  • Simple Electronic Signature (SES)

A legally recognized e-signature, valid for rental agreements.

  • DocuSign encryption
Prevents tampering and ensures contract integrity.

  • Always up-to-date
We keep contracts aligned with local rental laws.
